POSITION OVERVIEW: The Instructional Coach will provide a research-based, coordinated coaching strategy for the education staff of the Head Start, Pre-K Counts and Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program. They will be responsible to assess education staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and which staff would benefit from intensive coaching. The Instructional Coach will be responsible for modeling and supporting teaching practices consistent with the agency’s curricula and with the CLASS Instrument. Additionally, they will support staff with implementation of PBIS in their classrooms. This position will work closely with the Education Managers to support the
education staff.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Level A – Must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field with the equivalent credits in early childhood education with early childhood certification or in the process of obtaining certification. The candidate must have demonstrated past exemplar teaching in a preschool setting. This individual should possess excellent communication and written skills. Must be able to successfully complete the CLASS certification process and maintain CLASS certification. Preferably proficient in utilizing The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and have experience implementing PBIS.
Entry level: $30.05/hour
Full-time Position: Monday – Friday, Approx. 40 hours/week
