Jefferson-Clarion Head Start
POSITION OVERVIEW: This position requires someone who can translate from the family’s/ child’s home language to English and from English to the home language. This person would assist classroom and/or home visiting staff in providing a nurturing environment that encourages the use of both the child’s home language and English acquisition. They would also assist classroom staff in learning key phrases in the child’s home language. This person would accompany staff on home visits to assist in the delivery of Head Start and Early Head Start services.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Level A – High School diploma and experience working with pre-school age children
Entry Level: $13.20 per hour
Work Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 6 hours/day)
Location: Punxsutawney, PA
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid PA driver’s license, and have Act 34, 151 & 114 clearances at time of hire. Covid-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
